Rapists remanded for investigation
Six people Suyash Dhakal, 25, and Laxman Khatri, 22, of Hetauda, Srihari Aryal, 25, of Chitlang, Kanchharam Lama, 18, of Bhimphedi, Gopi Sarraf, 24, of Champaran of India and Hom Bahadur Syantang, 25, of Aambhanjyang involved in the raping of a tenth grader have been remanded for further investigation by a single bench comprising district judge Tek Narayan Kunwar. They were arrested one month ago and are in the police custody.
According to Kaushaleshwor Gyawali, court registrar, the group of youth had gang-raped a tenth grader studying at Siddhartha Higher Secondary School in Hetauda and had also tried to rape a twelfth grader of Hetauda School of Management on June 21, but the latter had fled. two more of the accused — Jeevan Lama and Barun Chaulagainare still on run, according to Gyawali.
