Woman gang raped in Rautahat

In an act of brutality a dalit woman was gang raped in Bishrampur VDC of Rautahat district last night by a group of five youths raped the woman in the field .


District Police Office, Rautahat said the 45-year-old woman was raped in the paddy field near her house at midnight.

The victim’s husband had immediately informed the police after the rapists dragged his wife to the field. But they fled the scene after they saw the police approaching them.

According to the police,one of them had raped the woman while others fled after seeing the police approaching them. Health checkup of the victim was conducted in Chandranigahapur Hospital.
